The lighting at Hotel Turun Seurahuone enhances your hotel stay

Hotel Turun Seurahuone, located in the heart of Turku, opened its doors for the first time in the 1920s. This classic and elegant hotel, designed by Turku architects, has undergone a major renovation, considering the building's original exterior architecture, but still updated the hotel to something extra. The project has involved a complete renovation of the property, including updating of all lighting. Hide-a-lite has helped to meet the vision of unexpected experiences of rooms, public spaces, and restaurants with exciting lighting solutions.

Hotel Seurahuone Turku has a luxurious and exciting entity that offers its guests a variety of experiences with unexpected details. In the entrance to the hotel you are greeted by an unusual lounge, with black and white checked flooring inspired by the hotel's original art deco style. The lobby and its unique atmosphere invite visitors to enjoy, spend time, work, or have a drink.

Functional and atmospheric lighting is created with Optic Deep, with a deeply placed light source for a glare-free light with very good colour rendering. The vision of creating unexpected lighting has been met by highlighting the exciting details, for example the simple and stylish reception with indirect lighting created by the multifunctional LEDstrip RX P20.

Solo Sokos Hotel Turun Seurahuone

The original Turun Seurahuone was completed in 1928, hiding part of Turku history in its walls. After all, it has been able to offer its guests a wonderful hotel experience in the heart of Turku for almost a century.
The purpose of the hotel's renovation was to recreate an experience from the 1920s to the present day. One of the major changes in the renovation project was the relocation of the main entrance to its original location on Humlegårdsgatan.

To provide the hotel with a unique lighting that fully meets the needs of the premises, Hide-a-lite implemented several customized solutions. This allowed for a unique result where every detail of the lighting was carefully thought through.

For example, Optic Deep in the hotel's restaurant spaces was colour coated by Hide-a-lite to meet the architect's wish that the fixture would fit in the best possible way in the hotel environment - now the black downlights create an interesting detail in the restaurant's ceiling.

The hotel facade, restaurants and other parts of the facility have been illuminated with LEDstrips, where some special solutions have been made. For example, they have been cut to the right length and pre-assembled in profiles by Hide-a-lite. Hide-a-lite has also helped to provide the downlights with the desired connections to facilitate the electricians' work on site and reduce installation time.
